Central Bible Church is dedicated to offering special events to educate and disciple believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. Below are the upcoming events to add to your calendar.
Mission Trip to Kenya, Africa Fundraisers
A group of high school seniors wanted to serve the Lord in Africa next summer, rather than spend their time and money on the typical Senior Trips. This has resulted in Central Bible Church sending out our first international missions team in June of 2014. There will be 19 going: 5 adults, 8 college students, and 6 high school seniors. The cost of the trip is $3,500.00 per person and so we have arranged the following as fundraising opportunities.
Pampered Chef : Pampered chef will give back 10% for every dollar sold under $600 and 15% if the total is over $600. In addition our friend in Texas is contributing her 15% commission. Our mission trip will earn a 25 or 30% commission on every dollar sold before November 30th.
People just need to go to www.pamperedchef.biz/kimdurall and click "Shop Online" and enter "Central Bible Church" in the host name box.
Do some Christmas shopping online for anyone and everyone in your life and know that a portion of every dollar you spend goes directly to serving the Lord in Africa!
If you live in the Baton Rouge are and choose to have your order sent to the "organization" the package will ship to Central Bible Church. It will save you some money and we'll distribute from here.
Raisin Cane's Fundraiser: On December 1, 2013, the Raisin Canes on Sullivan Rd. will donate 15% of all sales when you mentioned that you are there to support Central Bible Church. This is an easy way to lower the cost of the trip for all.
Garage Sale/ Bake Sale/ Jambalaya Sale : On December 14, 2013 there will be a garage sale, bake sale and jambalaya sale. You can pre-order tickets for the jambalaya sale for $7 and pickup meals around lunch time on the 14th. Also if you can donate for the bake or garage sale, your donation would be appreciated.
The Women's Ministry Annual Cookie Swap will be held on December 8th at 3:00 pm.
Bring baggies (3-4 goodies per bag) of your favorite cookie, brownie, bar, etc. Include a copy of the recipe for each bag – The number of bags to make will depend on the number of guests that we expect, so we will announce that number closer to the event!
If you would like to bring a finger food to share and give an alternate to all of the sweetness, feel free!
For our service project this time, we are asking the CBC ladies to help out with the youth group's upcoming fundraiser on December 14th. You can help by collecting items for the garage sale, by baking something for the bake sale, or by coming to help work the event!
